Air balloon flights in Baltimore

Searching for Air balloon flights in Baltimore? This is to the page you want! Finding a pilot to provide Air balloon flights is easy. Also, you can visit additional pages here, or look in the local yellow pages.

Enjoying Air balloon flights is something everyone can enjoy, but it is also a very popular way to celebrate a birthday! When you speak with the pilot you are thinking about flying with, always to ask how many other passengers will be aboard the balloon.

When it is time for your adventure, your ride company will offer to let you help with the assembly and inflation of the balloon. Go ahead and do it - it adds to the experience!

Be sure to bring a camera and plenty of film!

You'll be surprised at how many pictures you take before, during and after your flight. Bring more film or memory than you think you'll use. Once you're in the air and snapping away you sure don't want to be surprised by running out!

You can bring cameras for still or video, and we suggest you carry them in a protective case. Your pilot may ask you to put your cameras away during landing to make sure there are no objects that could fly out of your hand and hurt someone. Once you're on the ground you can start shooting again.

Famous Balloon Quote:

The best way of travel, however, if you aren't in any hurry at all, if you don't care where you are going, if you don't like to use your legs, if you don't want to be annoyed at all by any choice of directions, is in a balloon. In a balloon, you can decide only when to start, and usually when to stop. The rest is left entirely to nature.
William Pene du Bois, 'The Twenty-one Balloons.'
What is a balloon basket made of?
Woven wicker is used because it is lightweight, flexible and easily repaired. It also looks nice!

A balloon has an envelope, basket, and usually a burner and fuel system. The envelope is the fabric part of the balloon, the bag that holds the lifting gas. The basket (traditionally wicker) is where the pilot and passengers ride. In a hot air balloon (which is what you'll fly in), a burner hangs between the envelope and the basket. It burns liquefied propane gas to make an intensely hot and long flame, capable of heating a large volume of air very quickly.
