2004 Aerostar S-60 105*. This balloon has 120TT. It has the current 11/09 annual with 0TT since. It has dual rotation vents, and previously had Ball M-57 Wireless Instruments, but they were sold with the basket, and has NO INSTRUMENTS OR THERMISTER WIRE.
It WAS a corporate balloon until the corporation was sold. The new owners of the corporation have NO DESIRE to operate or have this balloon operated WHATSOEVER, and they are REQUIRING that 100% of the artwork MUST be removed from the balloon within 60 days of purchase!
YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN AN 8 PAGE LEGALLY BINDING "ASSET PURCHASE AGREEMENT" (CONTRACT) DIRECTLY WITH THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT OF PODS INC. THEY OWN THIS ENVELOPE, AND BUYER WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY FOR THE SHIPPING PER PODS' CONTRACT. (There is a Forward Air dock near the facility where the balloon is located, and the local repair station who maintained the balloon and did the annuals may be able to help arrange transport and delivery.)
It is a 4 PT Block hook up. I HAVE personally looked at the envelope and pulled it out of the bag. It is BEAUTIFUL and looks FANTASTIC! I have procured 2 separate quotes to have the 240+/- yards of diamond weave fabric replaced. The quotes were around $9,000 and $11,000. The LAST photo shows what I had quoted, but is an artist's rendition only.
If you ARE a repair station and can do the labor yourself, I think the fabric cost would be around $4,000. If you are NOT a repair facility and you must have the work done for you, you should expect to spend $15K to $17K to purchase AND get this balloon flyable. Unfortunately, 100% of the artwork IS INLAID. PODS will NOT accept cover banner, paint, or partial obliteration of the logos, as we tried to find some other less costly way, but there is ZERO negotiability on this contract.
